US organic food specialist Tierra Farm has a new CEO in the shape of Todd Kletter.

New York State-based Tierra Farm, which specialises in the manufacture and distribution of organic nut, seed, dried fruit, coffee, tea and chocolate products, brought Kletter in as assistant director earlier this year.

Before joining the firm, Kletter was managing partner at W.A. Packaging for five years, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Supply for three years and president of National Graphic Supply for nine years.

Gunther Fishgold, founder of Tierra Farm, said: “Todd has made significant contributions to Tierra Farm in just the short time he’s been with us. We’re certain that the strategies he’s put in place will continue to allow us to prosper in the organic food market.”

Tierra Farm handles only certified organic products which are grown without synthetic pesticides, genetically modified organisms, or chemical fertilisers. It says this helps sustain biodiversity, conserves fresh water, and enhances the soil.

In addition to Kletter’s promotion, the firm, which employs more than 50 people, has also added several new positions in its production and logistics departments.
