Carrefour has confirmed that it is planning to expand its Turkish business, Carrefoursa, through new store openings.
Carrefoursa, a joint venture with Sabanci Holding, is planning to open 60 new stores by the end of this year, a Carrefour spokesperson told just-food.
By the end of the first half of 2009, the company had already opened 29 new outlets, the spokesperson added.
“The expansion will see the creation of 7,000 new job opportunities in the next three years,” the spokesperson said.
