The Antalya Chambers of Commerce is urging large supermarket chain to relocate their outlets to sites outside the cities. The call comes amid concern that smaller enterprises situated in the city centres cannot compete against the larger chains and their sales are unfairly suffering.

The issue was raised after Metro Turkey, the local arm of the German giant, was given approval to site a supermarket store in the town of Antalya.
