Turkish food company Filiz Gida has revealed that it will soon start making biscuits and cookies for the export market.
The firm also said yesterday [Monday] that it aims to increase domestic pasta consumption from 4.5kg to 9kg per capita, thus increasing the scope of the market for its flagship pasta products.
Filiz Gida is 55% owned by Italian pasta producer Barilla and 45% by Turkish industrial conglomerate Dogus Group. However, the Milliyet daily has recently reported that Dogus Gida is in talks to sell its stake to Barilla.
