Turkish confectionery manufacturer Kent Gida has reported a net profit of 5.3trn Turkish lira (US$3.15m) for the first nine months of 2002, compared to a net loss of 22.2trn lira for the same period last year.

The company, which produces chocolate, sugar confectionery and chewing gum, posted a net loss of 1.8trn lira for the first half of 2002, compared to a net loss of 17.6trn lira for the first half of 2001, reported the Turkish News Digest.
