The UK’s largest retailer told just-food that it will open a 13,000 sq metre store in the city, ahead of plans to open a second store in the town of Silivri later in the year.
Tesco bought the Kipa chain of stores five years ago and is looking to boost its presence in Turkey’s fast-growing retail sector.
The retail giant has 46 stores in the country, based on figures from October last year.
