A new web service providing consumers with news and research on soya aims to raise the prominence of soya throughout the UK. Funding for the site has been provided by the Haldane Food Group, the UK vegetarian and vegan food subsidiary of US agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland.
The site, which can be found at www.soyhealth.co.uk, is intended to inform consumers about the health benefits of soya, which has been growing in popularity in recent years. It incorporates topics of consumer interest such as the nutritional properties of the soya bean, recipe suggestions, legislation and labelling news and new products available from retailers.
