Asda has said it will award 123,000 store and depot staff a total of GBP15m (US$29.41m) in annual performance-related bonuses.

Asda said that since it was acquired by Wal-Mart, and the annual performance-related bonus was adopted in 2000, it has awarded GBP85m in bonus payments.
“It’s the hard work and enthusiasm of our colleagues that has made the business such a success this year and helped us win over so many new customers,” said Andy Bond, ASDA’s chief executive. “It’s great to be able to share the rewards with them.”
