“Welcome to Asda” translates as “Dynnargh dhe Asda” and “Always happy to help” becomes “Lowen pup-prys dhe weres”. Signs for “derivadow” mean “information,” reports the Associated Press. The signs have been introduced in response to popular demand.


There remain just 400 fluent speakers of Cornish in Cornwall, although several thousand can speak conversational Cornish.
