Bon Bon Buddies, which manufactures confectionery and biscuits under licence deals for the image rights of cartoon and TV characters, acquired the chocolate makers from administrators RSM Tenon for an undisclosed sum.
The group said that it will now invest in the businesses to develop the existing product ranges, build the brands’ profile and increase distribution.
Chris Howarth, Bon Bon Buddies MD, said that the group was “delighted” to have completed an “excellent acquisition”.
“The Kshocolât and Hot Choc brands will allow us to extend our market presence into the premium chocolate market in the UK and Europe with this exciting premium confectionery range,” he said.
