UK biscuit maker Burton’s Foods today (12 April) announced that it has achieved its target to source 100% segregated palm oil two years ahead of schedule.

Effective immediately, the company said it is now using segregated palm oil in the baking of all its products, meaning the sustainable supply can be “fully traced from plantation to product”.

Stuart Wilson, chief marketing officer at Burton’s Foods said: “This achievement marks another important milestone in our CSR programme, Baking a Difference. Reaching our target to source 100% segregated sustainable palm oil two years early is reflective of our commitment to making environmentally responsible purchasing decisions and taking swift action.”
