Clover said the promotion is the first SMS (text message)-based promotion in the butter and spreads category.

The promotion will be launched on 8 October and will offer consumers the chance to win prizes including weekend breaks, tickets to the Lion King stage show and home entertainment systems.

Clover said its recent marketing efforts have helped deliver 14% growth over the last year for the brand, which is now worth £65m (US$107.6m).
