French dairy group Danone has launched a range of Greek-style yoghurts under its Activia brand in the UK.

The Activia Greek Style range comes in three flavours – Golden Honey, Summer Berries and Juicy Lemon – and contains 3% fat in each 125g pot.

The new yoghurts are an “indulgent after-dinner treat,” the company said. Containing Bifidus ActiRegularis, Danone claims that Activia can help reduce digestive discomfort.

Activia senior brand manager Virginie Guise said: “Activia has entered the Greek Style market with a bang this autumn – offering an exotic evening dessert that satisfies those desires for a post-meal treat. This new offering from Activia is based on strong consumer research showing our consumers want an indulgent after-dinner delight bursting with flavour and nutritious goodness.”

The yoghurts will retail at GBP2.19 (US$3.47) for four 125g pots, with an introductory offer of GBP1.50 from 21 September to 13 November in major retailers.
