The special bottles feature a design by Paul Smith and are being sold for £2.95 (US$5.44) as part of Harrods’ Truly British season, with around 10% of the purchase price going to baby charity Tommy’s, reported BBC News Online.

HP Foods, which was bought by US giant Heinz from France’s Danone earlier this year, has produced 1,899 limited edition bottles to mark the fact that HP sauce was introduced in 1899. The first 500 bottles went on sale yesterday, with Harrods saying it would have to limit the sale to one bottle per customer – there have been reports that a bottle is already up for sale on Internet auction site eBay.
