The launch of the Breakfast Projects range is the first major move from the business since its sale to local health food group Wellness Foods in March.


Dorset confirmed the move but declined to comment further.


Private equity firm Langholm Capital sold Dorset to Wellness Foods in a deal said to be worth GBP50m (US$97.9m).


Wellness Foods has made a number of acquisitions in the natural, healthy and organic foods sectors, including Rowse Honey, fruit snacks maker Stream Foods and fresh fruit products group Orchard House Foods.
