Sir David Naish, former president of the UK’s National Farmers Union, and a former executive at Arla Foods, is set to become chairman of meat processor Hilton Food Group.
Hilton said today (22 March) that Sir David would take the role after the death of Gordon Summerfield.

Sir David has been a director at Hilton since 2007. That year, he left his role as chairman of Arla Foods UK after the dairy group’s parent Arla Foods amba took full control of the business.
He was president of the NFU between 1991 and 1998.
