Following the previous announcement, on 10 July, that Lisa Morgan has been appointed group finance director designate to the Finsbury Food Group, the UK baker today (19 September) confirmed that she will formally assume the finance director role and be appointed to the UK board of directors on 1 October.

John Lomer, the current group finance director, is leaving the company to return to consulting on strategic development. Lomer will remain with the company to assist in the handover in a part-time capacity until March 2007.
Morgan, 35, is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. Having joined Finsbury’s subsidy Memory Lane Cakes in 2000, she became its finance director in 2005. Previously, she served as a factory accountant at Sun Valley Foods and a management accountant at Tech-Board Limited.
