Richard Lancaster, the former MD of Netto UK, has taken up the position of senior trading director at Morrisons.
Lancaster will oversee the ambient grocery category of grocery, home and leisure and beers and wines at Morrisons. He will join the company on 5 January next year.
“I am delighted that Richard is joining Morrisons. With his wealth of trading and retail experience, he will be a great addition to the senior trading team as we continue to drive forward our business performance through a sharp focus on fresh food and great value,” Morrisons group trading director Martyn Jones said.
Lancaster has served in the trading and marketing departments of a number of retailers including a previous role as trading and marketing director for Sainsbury’s convenience.
Morrisons also announced a number of other management changes designed to build on its “positive operational performance” today (21 November).
