Fruitus fruit bars and bites is made from all natural ingredients and is also dairy free, the company said.

The bars are available in four varieties – Apricot, Mixed Berry, Apple and the new Pomegranate & Blueberry – while the all-new bites come in three varieties – Apricot, Blackberry and Raspberry.

Glisten marketing director Dave Coulson told just-food this afternoon (16 April) that the product launch is part of the company’s continued focus on new product development that, it hopes, will boost sales.

“We are growing our business through a combination of acquisitions, like-for-like sales growth and new product development. We always see NPD as a core part of developing the business,” Coulson said.

Coulson said the company has some significant product launches on the horizon, both at its Lyme Regis unit and elsewhere.

“We are looking at other brands and other launches in the healthy snacking category that would be complementary to Fruitus,” he said.

The Fruitus range extension has been supported by a significant “six figure” marketing campaign.
