The company, which makes a range of own-label products as well as the Linda McCartney meat-free portfolio, has moved production of its Daily Bread sandwich range to Luton.

Hain Celestial UK human resources director Graham Trevor said the larger Luton site gave the business more “flexibility”.

Trevor said the Luton site was accredited to produce organic food and enabled the business to make nut-free products, as well as those containing nuts.

“Around 200 roles were affected by this move,” Trevor told just-food. “We are currently using our London site as a distribution hub for central London deliveries.”
