Growing demand for beans and pulses has seen Heinz introduce three new options to its Heinz Beanz range in the UK.

Heinz has used pinto beans, cannellini beans and kidney beans in flavoured sauces for the new products.

Heinz Fajita Beanz, Heinz Tuscan Beanz and Heinz Veg Chilli Beanz target 25- to 44-year-olds, the US group said.

“Our research shows us that consumers want to experiment with new dishes and expand their repertoire; however they don’t feel that they have the time or the culinary expertise. The new Heinz Beanz and Pulses range enables consumers who are short of time to embark on a flavour adventure to liven up their everyday meal times in minutes,” Nina Shanahan, innovation manager at Heinz, said.

The new products will hit shelves in July and have an RRP of GBP1.29 (US$2.19).
