UK: Helping memories stick – chewing gum aids memory making
The act of chewing gum can help improve a person’s ability to recall lists of words. Dr Andrew Scholey, a neuroscientist at the University of Northumbria, revealed that in a recent trial, volunteers who chewed gum had a third greater chance of remembering a list of words than their non-gum chewing counterparts.
