UK frozen food retailer Iceland has compiled a list of 110 possible sites for new stores.
The group currently operates 760 stores and plans to open 80 new outlets within the next three years. The new stores will range in size from 280m2 to 790m2 and be located in high streets or suburbs.
Iceland property director Tim Yates is quoted in Retail Week as saying: “We have had a strong response since our search was launched in January and have already located eight sites that we are very interested in, and more than ten that are strong possibilities. Potential locations are continuing to flood in and we have a specialist team reviewing them so we can respond quickly to all approaches.”
