The UK arm of snacks firm Intersnack has confirmed the appointment of former Northern Foods executive Richard Robinson as managing director.

A spokesperson for the company told just-food that Robinson has already assumed his duties at the firm, taking over from Calum Ryder who will leave the business at the end of the month.

Robinson most recently served as commercial director and business unit director of Northern Foods’ frozen food division. Before that, he held various senior sales roles at Young’s Seafood.

Intersnack UK, part of the pan-European Intersnack Group, manufactures and distributes private-label snacks as well as the Pom-Bear and Penn State brands in the market.
