“The growth in fruit ingredient sales in the past two years has been extraordinary,” commented MD Christopher Sims: “Consumers know that fruit is healthy and good to eat. Manufacturers have responded with a wide array of tasty and innovative products – from breakfast cereals and snack bars to yoghurts, cheeses and biscuits”.
A significant percentage of J.O. Sims’ booming ingredient sales can be attributed to a rise in demand for Ocean Spray’s flavoured fruit pieces (FFP).
Based in Spalding, J.O. Sims supplies to customers throughout the UK, including all leading supermarkets and fresh produce markets, as well as food and ingredient manufacturers.
Fresh produce supplied by the company includes apples, apricots, avocado, cherries, cranberries, dates, grapefruit, ginger, grape, kiwi, limes, lychee, mango, melons, mangetout, nectarines, oranges, papaya, peaches, pears, and plums.
