The Weight Watchers Houmous has the lowest fat content on the market, Kavli claimed, and has already been launched in Somerfield stores.

The houmos is made with crushed chickpeas, blended with very low-fat fromage frais, sesame seeds, lemon juice and roasted garlic. The tzatziki dip is a combination of reduced-fat Greek-style yoghurt, very low-fat fromage frais, freshly shredded cucumber, roasted garlic and mint.

“The new Greek-inspired dips provide a low-fat flavoursome alternative that can be enjoyed by consumers that prefer a healthier option when snacking without compromising great taste,” said Kavli’s senior product manager Kate Winterton.

The dips come in 170g packs and retail for GBP1.09 (US$2.18). Both launches are being supported by a PR-led sampling campaign.
