Culina Logistics and Baylis Logistics will merge into a new company, to be known as Culina Logistics Ltd.
The company will be part-owned by Luxembourg-based TML Invest – the investment arm of Theo Müller, owner of German dairy group Müller.
The enlarged logistics firm Limited will have a starting turnover of GBP125m, employ 1,300 staff and operate from nine sites in the UK.
“Chilled customers will see potential economies of scale in our ability to offer a combined solution incorporating their ambient ranges,” said Rien Brakel, who will be operations director of the new firm.
