Lyons Seafoods has appointed a technical director in a bid to drive the business forward from a “technical, sustainable and environmental” perspective.

Steve Vardy, previously from Bowes of Norfolk where he was director of technical services, will sit on the board and report into managing director, Charles Dawson.

Dawson said: “This new role has been created to reflect the growing importance of technical and sustainable issues and will help maintain our position in the UK as leaders in sustainable seafood. Steve brings a wealth of technical experience and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all our strategic goals and future challenges are met.”
