“Alternatives aim to tackle increased concerns regarding nutrition among foodservice customers and offer schools healthier products without compromising on taste,” the company said.

McCain Oven Chips are now available in the foodservice sector as part of the new Alternatives range. McCain Oven Chips contain 5% total fat and are low in saturates.

“As a responsible food manufacturer and supplier, we appreciate that the nutritional content of food, particularly in schools, is increasingly important for our foodservice customers. The new Alternatives range offers a positive solution to the challenges of providing large quantities of balanced and nutritious meals,” said Bill Bartlett, sales director – foodservice, McCain Foods GB.

McCain has enhanced its new range with improved recipes, the introduction of new product lines and innovations that mean products are easier to oven cook.
