The fifth largest grocery chain in the UK, William Morrison Supermarkets, has revealed plans to create around 4,500 new jobs over the next two years.
The jobs will be generated through a series of new store openings, seven of which are penned for this year.
The company’s then 120-strong store portfolio will be further enlarged with eight stores due to open in 2003.
In a statement released today [Thursday], Morrison also posted an 11% rise in annual pre-tax profits, a figure that has beaten analysts’ forecasts.
