The retailer said that it will be offering “4 for 3” on all party food while customers buying food this weekend will receive a “spend & save” voucher offering GBP5 off purchases of GBP25 or more between 20 and 24 December.
“We know that our customers are feeling the pinch but we all need a bit of sparkle this Christmas. That’s why are committed to continue to offer a wide range of promotions to help make the festivities special for everyone,” Sir Stuart Rose, M&S chairman said.
The up-market retailer has seen sales lag as UK consumers look to save money as the economic downturn bites. At the end of last month, M&S said it saw UK like-for-like food sales drop 5.3% during the six months to 27 September.
The company has since launched a number of discount promotions, including two one-day sales events.
