Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever has appointed former Nestle executive Eugenio Minvielle to oversee the company’s North American businesses.
Eugenio, who served as president and CEO of Nestle’s businesses in France, Mexico and Venezuela, will join Unilever as executive vice president, North America.
“Unilever is enormously fortunate to have attracted an executive of Eugenio’s experience, talent and proven business performance. Under his leadership of Unilever in North America, we look forward to his contribution in driving the North American business forward as we bring our global growth targets and strategies to life,” Unilever CEO Paul Polman said.
Minvielle will be responsible for Unilever’s US$10bn operations in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
He will report to Dave Lewis who was recently appointed to replace Michael Polk as president for Unilever’s business across the Americas.
