Huet announced his resignation from the post of CFO at Bristol Myers yesterday (14 December), prompting speculation that he was preparing to take the position of CFO at Unilever.

Unilever said it will appoint a successor to its current finance chief James Lawrence “shortly”. Lawrence is set to depart at the end of the year.

Lawrence, who had been tipped for the top job at Unilever, missed out when Paul Polman was appointed CEO. However, the company denies rumours of a split.

When contacted by just-food, Unilever declined to comment on “rumour” and “market speculation” or to provide a time frame for the appointment of a successor.
