Senior Unilever executive Vindi Banga is to leave Unilever after 33 years with the consumer goods giant.
Banga, president for global foods, home and personal care at Unilever, will has decided leave the business at the end of May.

Banga, who joined Unilever in 1977, has been linked to the top job at the Knorr and Ben & Jerry’s maker when chief executive left the company in 2008.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my time at Unilever especially the last few years during which we have transformed the company.”
Paul Polman, the former Procter & Gamble executive chosen to become Unilever CEO, insisted Banga had been “a great leader” at the business.
“He was responsible for a significant improvement in our innovation results, delivering bigger ideas with global scale, and he will leave a lasting impact on the company,” Polman said.

By GlobalDataBanga will be replaced by Michael Polk who is currently president of Unilever’s business in the Americas.
Polk will be succeeded by Dave Lewis, currently executive vice president of Unilever in the UK and Ireland.
