Banham’s appointment, effective 1 September, follows the new that executive chairman Ian Menzies-Gow is retiring from his role as director of Geest on 30 September, soon after his sixtieth birthday.


Banham is already a non-executive chairman of Whitbread and ECI Ventures Ltd, and the senior non-executive director of AMVESCAP Plc.
