NFU President Ben Gill said: “I am very pleased that Tesco milk will display the little red tractor as it means the logo will now enjoy an even greater presence.

“We hope that this will encourage other retailers to display it on their milk so that more shoppers know that British milk is produced to some of the highest standards possible.

“Once we have all the supermarkets signed up to promoting the logo on milk, it increases the possibility of other milk products such as yoghurts, cheese, cream and ice-cream also using the logo in the future.”

The National Dairy Farm Assured Scheme is the latest assurance scheme to sign up to use the little red tractor logo.
