O’Driscoll will take up her post in April 2004. She joins the group from Shell Europe, where she currently serves as retail vice president. Previously she has held appointments at UK retailers Marks & Spencer, Safeway and Tesco.


Northern Foods’ last CEO, Jo Stewart, left the company after a profit warning in the autumn.
