Made with 50% fruit, the product includes morello cherries, raspberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants and contains no colours, flavours and preservatives.
It is being launched to capitalise on the growing chilled compote market, the company said.
Rachel Oakley, senior brand and innovation manager for chilled food at Dr. Oetker, said: “Through the launch we hope to provide our customers with an exciting product which boasts the same quality credentials as our best selling Onken Natural Yogurt range”.
Dr. Oetker Onken Mixed Berry Compote will be available from 10 August at Asda and Morrisons at GBP1.99 for a 450g pot.
