Premier Foods has named Will Carter as managing director of its ambient grocery division.
Carter, a former United Biscuits director, joins the UK food group from fruits and nuts supplier Whitworths, where he was CEO.
Carter’s appointment comes a month after two former commercial directors at Premier, Stephen Bolton and Howard Beveridge, left the company.
Carter will take on the pair’s responsibilities and drive a portfolio including Branston and ethnic cuisine brand Sharwood’s.
Premier officials declined to comment further when contacted by just-food today (9 June).
