Provexis, the nutraceutical company that develops functional foods, announced today (9 January) that a further distribution deal had been struck with a third market-leading supermarket chain for its Sirco heart health drink.

Sirco is currently available in 211 Sainsbury’s stores. A spokesperson for the company revealed that Provexis expects Sirco drinks to appear on the shelves of two other leading retailers towards the end of this month. However, Provexis told just-food that it was unwilling to reveal the names of the chains that the deal had been struck with.


Commenting on the expanded distribution, Dr Stephen Franklin, CEO of Provexis, said: “We are delighted to have secured a listing with a third major retailer. The distribution base of Sirco is expanding on schedule and will be sufficiently established to maximise the nationwide, multimedia, advertising campaignwhich will run throughout the Spring and early Summer.”
