Cadbury Schweppes is pleased to announce the appointment, effective today, of Mr. Roger Carr to the Board of Cadbury Schweppes plc as a non-executive director. Roger Carr, 54, is Chairman of Chubb plc.

Roger Carr held a variety of management appointments with Honeywell Computers and Williams plc. He served as the Chief Executive of Williams plc from 1994 – 2000. He became Chairman of Chubb plc in 2000. He is also a non-executive director of Bass plc and Centrica plc and recently stood down as Chairman of Thames Water following its acquisition by RWE AG.
