Tesco has yet again increased its share of the UK grocery retail market, according to the latest industry figures from TNS.

Tesco’s market share rose to 28% for the 12 weeks to 12 September compared to 26.8% for the year-ago period. The market share of Wal-Mart’s Asda rose slightly to 16.8% from 16.7% a year earlier.
Sainsbury’s, however, saw its market share fall to 15.3%, compared to 15.9% in the corresponding period of last year, reported Reuters.
