UK supermarket group J Sainsbury has reportedly appointed Lawrence Christensen has its new head of supply chain.
Christensen, former group operations director at Safeway, replaces Martin White as director of supply chain, reported The Financial Times.
Christensen faces an uphill struggle to turn around Sainsbury’s supply chain, which is beset with problems despite a £400m (US$716.9m) investment as part of former CEO Sir Peter Davis’ three-year transformation plan.
