UK retailer Sainsbury’s has launched a scheme called ‘Farm Connections’ scheme to keep farmers better informed of developments in the UK food and grocery industry.
Sainsbury’s Chief Executive, Justin King, revealed plans at the Oxford Farming Conference.
He said: “This initiative will enable beef farmers and producers to exchange information with their supply chain partners and so help to drive down costs and improve the competitiveness of British beef.”
