Sales were up 16% from Finsbury’s Memory Lane Cakes business and rose 18% across the combined businesses of California Cakes and Campbells Cakes.

Finsbury said turnover from its Nicholas and Harris bread business rose 14%, while The Lightbody Group, acquired in February last year, saw growth of 12%.

The company said it remained in talks with customers over how it can meet rising commodity costs.

“While the final details are still being resolved, the group is confident that the greater part of these cost increases will be recovered by the end of January,” Finsbury said.
