Samworth, which supplies convenience food to UK retailers, as well as owning the Ginsters brand, plans to open a second Brooksby Foods facility.

The new site, adjacent to the current Brooksby Foods facility in Leicestershire, will employ staff to develop products for the business.

The project, part of over GBP10m (US$14.9m) of investment in Brooksby Foods, is expected to create an extra 50 jobs, a spokesperson confirmed.
