A further 30 positions will be cut as the company centralises harvesting teams in Lochaber and Mallaig. On a brighter note, machinery used at the Stornoway plant is expected to be relocated to the Blar Mhr facility in Fort William, reported the Scottish Daily Record.
This move would increase capacity in Fort William and create some 30 jobs.
