The Scottish Salmon Co. has moved to a profit in the first quarter boosted by a rise in harvested volumes and stronger pricing.
In the three month period, the company recorded a net profit of GBP1m, compared to a net loss of GBP481,000 last year. Operating profit climbed 47.5% to reach GBP18.7m.

Sales in the period hit GBP18.7m, a 47% improvement on last year, while harvested volumes were up 38.1% to 5,092 tonnes.
Looking ahead, the company said “all market indicators are positive over next two to three years”.
