UK-based snacks maker Seabrook Crisps has started a search for a new managing director.

The announcement follows the departure of former MD John Tague in August.

In a statement, Seabrook chairman and CEO Ken Brook-Chrispin said both Tague and the board felt it was time for a “fresh perspective to take the business through its next phase of growth”.

Tague joined the business in January 2008 when the company’s annual turnover was GBP312m (US$498.6m). Seabrook said he was instrumental in establishing the brand in the major retail multiples and driving the business forward to its current position with turnover of GBP330m.

Tague previously worked for telecommunications company Dexta Solutions.
