The company has secured a deal to supply crisps at 100 Tesco stores in England, with a further deal in place to stock out every Sainsbury’s store in Scotland by mid January 2007.

But Snapz, which sells apple snacks, told just-food that this still only represents 0.1% of the UK market, or 10m packets per year.

Finlay Locke, a director at Snapz, told just-food: “We are pleased with both of these deals, and hopefully we can build on this.”

It will distribute multi-packs, including plain, Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Banana, and Orange crisps.
